CartEilenkrig is a new powerhouse album by renowned trumpet player Vadim Eilenkrig and the latest up date release of Butman Music Records. “It was not modest to call the album after my surname, but Sinatra released “Sinatra” album, as well as Madonna had “Madonna”, - says the trumpeter.
The most popular Russian jazz trumpet player, the first Russian jazzman to deal with electronic music, a significant figure in Russian power lifting, sex symbol of Russian jazz, and the only tattoed performer to appear on the billboards of the biggest country’s academic halls. Vadim Eilenkrig is the one who changes the whole concept of a jazz musician, and his new album turned out to be as bright and mighty as its author is.
The first Vadim’s album – a bestseller “The Shadow of your smile” was produced by the head of the label, saxophone player Igor Butman, but this time Eilenkrig decided to try his hand in producing. While his debut album “The Shadow of Your Smile” is based on jazz rock/fusion material (bringing in ex-members of Breckers Brothers), the second one goes towards more cutting edge sound and concept!
On his new album the trumpet player leads an extra class Russian-American team, US side is represented by a legendary drummer Virgil Donati, member of Planet X and Virgil Donati Band bass player Doug Shreeve, famous crooner Allan Harris and powerful guitarist Mitch Stein. Russia is represented by saxophone players Igor Butman and Dmitry Mospan, pianist Anton Baronin and Vadim himself.
